Professional Interests: Matthew’s first-rate brief writing has resulted in great success for Balin Law’s clients at the Appeals Council and Federal Court levels, helping to create good legal precedents for the disabled. In 2013, Matthew became managing associate of our thriving Appellate Advocacy Group. He frequently meets with new clients at many of the firm’s Ohio offices and represents clients at Social Security administrative hearings.
Civic Involvement: Matthew is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Federal Bar Association for the Northern District of Ohio, and a Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. He has lobbied on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. for the rights of the disabled and appeared on WERE Radio’s “Legal Lines” segment to discuss current issues in disability law. Matthew is passionate about politics and music and will spend hours talking about either subject if given half a chance.
